Stubborn, super smart, extremely social, and very independent.
92 years old and, until recently, living on her own.
She is the matriarch of our family.
She is not doing well.
In the last six weeks she has developed (very painful) shingles, has had to move out of her home (where she has lived for the last 40+ years), has had to give up her dog (which, as you know, to me would be the hardest thing ever), and has been in and out of the hospital with congestive heart failure. Now she has had an emergency appendectomy.
Gram (as I call her) has a strong faith in Christ, a devoted church family, and has been very active in her community (you've never met a woman with a social schedule as full as my grandmothers). I believe all of these things will help carry her, but her body is not doing well.
Please pray for peace, comfort, and healing for her.
Please pray for strength for my aunts and uncle as they make decisions and deal with doctors.
